How to use this tool

  • Select the income stream that best matches your export.
  • Upload a CSV (one row per gift / legacy record / application / prospect).
  • Map your column headers to the fields below (we'll make sensible guesses).
  • Run the diagnostic to see an overall health score, headline indicators, and recommendations.
Amounts are assumed to be in GBP (£). Currency symbols and commas are stripped automatically.

Legacies / Gifts in Wills

Required: Status (Enquiry / Pledged / Realised)

Trusts & Foundations

Required: Trust Name, Application Date, Status

Recommended: Decision Date, Ask Amount, Granted Amount

💡 Pro Tips:
  • Headers don't need to match exactly — the tool will guess the mapping
  • Date formats: DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD both work
  • Currency symbols (£, $) and commas are stripped automatically

💾 How do I export from my CRM? Step-by-step guides for popular systems

Raiser's Edge NXT

  • Go to Lists → Create a new query for the records you need
  • Click Export → Select CSV format
  • Include: Constituent ID, Gift Date, Gift Amount, Gift Type, Appeal
  • For pipeline: add Stage, Ask Amount, Expected Value, Last Contact Date

Salesforce NPSP

  • Navigate to Reports → Create new report
  • Select: Opportunities (pipeline) or Donations (gifts)
  • Add fields: Account ID, Close Date, Amount, Stage Name, Probability
  • Click RunExport Details → Download CSV

Donorfy

  • Go to Transactions or Opportunities
  • Apply filters for date range and transaction type
  • Click Export → Select all relevant columns → Download CSV

ThankQ

  • Navigate to DonationsSearch
  • Set filters for date range and gift type
  • Click Export → Choose CSV → Include: Constituent Code, Gift Date, Amount

Beacon

  • Go to PeopleExport
  • Select Donations or Pipeline tab
  • Choose date range and filters → Export as CSV with all transaction fields
